 What is a Third Party Event?
Simply put, it's an event or promotion sponsored by a person or organization that will benefit The ALS Association Arizona Chapter. The event sponsor helps out by doing most of the work and is responsible for underwriting all of the related costs.
Through a Third Party Event, you can raise critical funds for The ALS Association Arizona Chapter by putting together your own special event to help in our fight to cure and treat ALS “Lou Gehrig’s disease”.
What Kinds of Events Can You Host?
The types of events you can host are as limited as your imagination! Here's your chance to build an event precisely suited to any audience you choose! Make is as large or as small as you would like; the only limit is your imagination!
- Poker Tournament Dinner Parties
- Motorcycle / bicycle rides Car Washes
- Restaurant openings Holiday Drive
- Garage sales Raffles
- School fund-raisers Softball Tournament
- Office holiday parties Pancake Breakfast

Why Do It?
Third Party events offer businesses, organizations and individuals an opportunity to increase their recognition and outreach in the community. Your donation will support our state-wide network of programs and services such as our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Loan Closet and our Transportation Program to name a few. In addition, your event will be featured prominently both online in our events calendar and in our newsletter! Did we mention how fun and fulfilling it is as well!
How Can The ALS Association Arizona Chapter Help?
We want to help! The ALS Association Arizona Chapter offers varying levels of support for our partners, depending on the amount of money generated by their events/promotions.
For any Third Party Event or promotion, we can provide:
- Brochures, pamphlets, and other information about THE ALS ASSOCIATION ARIZONA CHAPTER
- Sample press materials
- Acknowledgement in our Chapter newsletter
- A written acknowledgement of the event for the donors' tax purposes that details the maximum tax deduction allowable.
For Third Party Events or promotions donating $10,000 or more:
- All of the above, plus . . .
- An ALS ASSOCIATION ARIZONA CHAPTER staff member to attend an organizational meeting, offer advice, and solicit involvement from chapter board members and other contacts
- Media support (although press coverage cannot be guaranteed)
- The use of THE ALS ASSOCIATION ARIZONA CHAPTER logo (all logo usage must be approved by THE ALS ASSOCIATION ARIZONA CHAPTER)
How to Maximize Your Donation Through Matching Gifts?
Many employers have matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your employer or follow the link to see if your company has a "Matching Gifts" program. Include matching gift amount and forms with your donation envelope.
